Zsombor Huszka

Co-Director, Lead Animator, Producer

At the age of 18, Zsombor Huszka was a professional fencer for the Hungarian National Fencing Team. In 2012, he earned his MSc in Architecture and Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. After his first art exhibit in 2010, he was chosen to participate at The National Exhibition of Digital Artworks. Since then, Zsombor has worked as a 2D animation director, graphic novel artist and illustrator.

Zsombor’s hand-drawn title sequence for the feature film Suburban Cowboy were nominated for Excellence in Title Design at the 2016 SXSW Festival alongside studio hits Spectre, Avengers: Age of Ultron and the Netflix series Daredevil.

As an artist, he collaborated with Ryan Colucci on R.E.M., which debuted in the fall of 2013 and became a huge crowdfunding success on Kickstarter. He also provided artwork for numerous graphic novels such as Noah Dorsey’s Saint Chaos, Ninja Genesis by Brent Cote and safeKill by Craig von Wiederhold. He has worked on projects for a variety of Hungarian pop stars, such as animating the music video Love is Overrated for Linda Kiraly, directing the music video for Viktor Kiraly’s Chasing Demons, and illustrating several Hungarian advertising campaigns. He provided all artwork for With You, an album and subsequent film by Grammy-nominated EDM artist Dirty South. The film debuted at #1 on iTunes in the fall of 2014.

He is currently co-directing the CG-film Krampus with Ryan Colucci, drawing the graphic novels Chasing Rabbits and Penny Black with Ryan and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu daily.
